Veteran Services is constructing an entry for the April 29 Cardboard Boat Regatta.  Students are welcome to assist with construction and please join us to watch the event at Evergreen Park on Saturday April 29.

Registration for Spring 2018 begins October 31:  Monday October 30 is priority registration--VETERAN STUDENTS ARE NOW INCLUDED!  You will be allowed to select classes on Otober 30, 0815-1800, then you will be locked out until your registration window opens normally at the date & time assigned based on your student status & last name (Click for Registrar Web Site)

Up-coming Veteran Events - Transportation may be available for events at other sites, contact the veterans service office if you are interested in participating.


Fall 2018

  • Thursday, September 28:  Marion VA Medical Center Stand Down for Homeless Veterans, 1000-1400 at Cornerstone Church in Marion
  • Saturday, September 30:  Military Appreciation Volleyball Game at 1900, Davies Gym.  Army vs AF ROTC scrimmage between games 2 & 3.  Tailgate preceeding the game.
  • Saturday October 7:  Student Veterans Leadership Day in Chicago.  SVA-IL will reimburse for travel expenses if you are interested
  • October 7-8:  Ride for "The Haven" 2, 3 and 4 wheel vehicles are welcome
  • Tuesday October 17:  Honor Flight return ceremony at Veterans Airport in Marion.  Korea and Vietnam Veterans returning from a trip to Washington DC to view monuments
  • Saturday October 28:  Toys for Tots benefit Golf Scramble at stone creek golf course.  Volunteers are needed to support this event.
  • Friday November 10:  Veterans Day Ceremony at Veterans Plaza in Carbondale
    • Marine Corps League Marine Corps Birthday BAll at American Legion in Murphysboro, all services are welcome.  Cocktail hour at 1800, dinner at 1900
    • Southern Illinois Leathernecks Marine Corps Birthday Ball at the Haven in Carterville, all services are welcome.  Doors open at 1800, dinner at 1900
  • Saturday November 11:  Veteran Tailgate 1000-1300, Military Appreciation Football Game kickoff at 1300.
  • Saturday November 18:  kNOw More PTSD awareness conference at John A Logan College
  • Saturday December 16  Graduation - meet Paul at Grad Bash, or stop by veteran services if you are graduating to get your honor cord and challenge coin.
